1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using externum.dev or an Externum account, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use covered services only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Children under 13 may not create accounts, submit forms, or register for playtesting.
Project Support is available only to adults at least 18 years old. A parent or legal guardian—not a minor independently—must submit any support associated with a minor.
2. Scope and separate platforms
Externum LLC creates and operates original games, platforms, and digital experiences. Public browsing does not require an account. Optional Externum accounts are separate from Tiles Legacy accounts; Tiles Legacy accounts and Externum accounts are separate and their data is not combined without a later approved integration and updated disclosure.
Externum does not sell products or services directly through externum.dev. Products, subscriptions, Command Pass access, Legacy Coins, and other Tiles Legacy purchases belong on Tiles Legacy and are governed by that platform’s applicable terms.
3. Development status and availability
Concepts, previews, features, availability windows, and release dates are subject to change. Announced projects and features are not guaranteed to launch or remain available. Final releases may differ from early materials, and development previews do not create contractual promises.
Website pages, optional accounts, games, previews, and services are provided on an “as available” basis. Externum does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, permanent, or universally compatible operation, or preservation of preferences, progress, or data unless expressly stated.
4. Permitted use and intellectual property
Externum retains ownership of its original software, games, artwork, branding, writing, and other content. Subject to these Terms, visitors receive a limited right to personal, noncommercial website use.
Unauthorized copying, redistribution, sale, modification, automated scraping, reverse engineering, impersonation, or exploitation is prohibited. Third-party assets remain governed by their respective owners and licenses.
5. Prohibited conduct
You may not use Externum’s website, accounts, games, or services for unlawful activity, harassment, impersonation, fraud, malware, security interference, unauthorized access, automated scraping, exploitation, intellectual-property infringement, or attempts to disrupt availability or operation. Externum may restrict or suspend access for security threats, fraud, prohibited conduct, or Terms violations.
6. Feedback
You retain ownership of your original submissions. If you voluntarily provide feedback, you permit Externum to review, use, adapt, or implement it without compensation or obligation. Do not submit confidential information or material you lack permission to share. Feedback does not create employment, partnership, ownership, investment, or royalty rights.
7. Project Support
Future Project Support is voluntary support of a for-profit business, not a charitable donation, tax-deductible contribution, investment, purchase, or preorder. Supporters receive nothing in exchange. Support does not provide products, subscriptions, Command Pass access, rewards, special access, playtesting selection, influence, ownership, release guarantees, features, or recognition guarantees.
Any preferred-project selection is nonbinding. Externum retains discretion over allocation. Project Support Terms and the disclosed refund policy must be accepted before any future redirect to Stripe.
8. External services
Links to Tiles Legacy, Discord, Stripe, and other external platforms are provided for convenience. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Externum is not responsible for their independent content, availability, security, or operation. This does not remove Externum’s responsibility for its own legal obligations or its selection and use of providers.
9. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Externum disclaims implied warranties and liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, and punitive damages, including lost data, progress, profits, or access. Nothing in these Terms excludes legally nonwaivable consumer rights or liabilities. No fixed monetary liability cap is stated in this draft.
10. Arizona law and venue
These Terms are governed by Arizona law, without overriding protections that cannot lawfully be waived. Any permitted dispute must be brought in an appropriate state or federal court in Maricopa County, Arizona. These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration and do not include a class-action waiver.
11. Changes and contact
Externum may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be clearly posted with revised dates. Questions, copyright complaints, and intellectual-property complaints may be sent to hello@externum.dev.
These owner-reviewed operational terms do not claim attorney review or legal advice, and they do not override rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be waived.
